Livestock Marketplace Guidelines

A clearer way to buy and sell livestock.

Clover Croft Livestock Marketplace is a curated classified marketplace designed to present useful, consistent information about livestock offered by farms, homesteads, and small livestock owners. Buyers and sellers remain responsible for evaluating each transaction and complying with applicable animal-health, transport, and movement requirements.

Buyer access and inquiries

Browsing marketplace listings is free. To contact a seller through Clover Croft, a buyer must purchase a $0.99 Verified Buyer Access pass. One pass is valid for 30 days and may be used for multiple livestock inquiries during that period.

Buyer verification confirms that marketplace access was purchased and required contact information was submitted. It does not guarantee the buyer's identity beyond submitted information, financial ability, suitability to own livestock, or intent to complete a purchase. Clover Croft may verify the buyer's Shopify order before forwarding an inquiry to the seller.

A valid phone number is required on marketplace inquiries so Clover Croft or the seller can follow up directly.

Seller responsibility

Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of listing statements, ownership or authority to sell, disclosure of known material health, temperament, handling, reproductive, and species-specific information, and providing authentic records when documentation is submitted or a verification-related claim is made.

Buyer responsibility

Buyers should review records, ask questions, inspect the animal when possible, verify seller identity, and involve a veterinarian or other qualified professional when appropriate before completing a purchase. Buyers should independently confirm any claim that is important to the purchase decision.

Categories and listing information

Cattle listings may be categorized as Family Milk Cow, Dairy Cattle, Beef Cattle, or Crossbred/Dual-Purpose Cattle. Donkey listings may be categorized as Miniature, Standard, or Mammoth. Other livestock categories may be added as the marketplace grows.

Clover Croft may edit listing copy for clarity or categorization without changing the seller's material claims.

Testing and documentation

Clover Croft may review specific records such as animal identification, registration, genetic results, pregnancy documentation, or dated health-test records. Any verification-related badge or statement applies only to the documentation specifically identified on the listing. It is not a guarantee that an animal is disease-free, fertile, suitable for a particular home, or capable of a specific future level of production or performance.

Transport and hauling

Buyers and sellers may request help connecting with independent livestock haulers. Hauling availability, pricing, insurance, scheduling, loading conditions, animal-health paperwork, certificates of veterinary inspection, permits, and transport terms are separate from the livestock listing and sale. Clover Croft does not guarantee or warrant third-party haulers.

Transactions

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Clover Croft provides advertising, listing, and marketplace-access services and is not the owner or seller of listed livestock. Any payment, deposit, bill of sale, warranty, pickup arrangement, or other agreement between buyer and seller should be documented clearly by those parties.

Marketplace conduct

Clover Croft may refuse, edit, suspend, or remove listings or inquiries that are incomplete, misleading, fraudulent, abusive, inappropriate, or inconsistent with marketplace standards. Suspected scams, stolen photos, inaccurate listings, or other concerns may be reported through the marketplace reporting form.
