Livestock Market Guidelines

A clearer way to buy and sell family milk cows.

Clover Croft Livestock Market is a classified marketplace designed to present useful, consistent information about family milk cows. Buyers and sellers remain responsible for evaluating each transaction and complying with applicable animal-health, transport and movement requirements.

Seller responsibility

Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of listing statements, ownership or authority to sell, disclosure of known material information, and providing authentic records when requesting verification.

Buyer responsibility

Buyers should review records, ask questions, inspect the animal when possible, and involve a veterinarian or other qualified professional when appropriate before completing a purchase.

Testing and verification

Clover Croft may review specific records such as animal identification, A2 genotype results, registration documents and dated health-test records. A verification badge applies only to the documentation specifically identified on the listing. It is not a guarantee that the animal is disease-free, fertile, suitable for a particular household, or capable of a particular level of future milk production.

Transport and interstate movement

Pickup, delivery, livestock transport, certificates of veterinary inspection, testing required for movement, permits and other regulatory requirements are the responsibility of the buyer and seller unless a listing expressly states otherwise. Requirements can vary by state and destination.

Transactions

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Clover Croft provides the listing platform and documentation-review service and is not the owner of the listed animal. Any payment, deposit, bill of sale, warranty or other agreement between buyer and seller should be documented clearly by those parties.
